Artistic Swimming Lessons 

Calling all Sharks and Mermaids! We welcome boys and girls ages 6-12 to join us as we explore the magical world of artistic swimming. We are proud to offer weekly lessons from our experienced instructors, an introduction to our magical world of artistic swimming. Each week, you’ll have a 45-minute class for six consecutive weeks, where your swimmer will progress through various artistic swimming skills, leading up to an end-of-session demonstration for family and friends.

$235 per swimmer per session

Level 1 = Brand new to artistic swimming and/or previously participated in one series of level 1 lessons 
Level 2 = Previously participated in 2 or more sessions of Level 2 lessons 
Level 3 = Previously participated in 1 or more sessions of Level 3 lessons

    Entering Level One
    All participants must meet the following requirements: 
    1) Swim one lap of freestyle, unassisted and uninterrupted
    2) Comfortable off the wall in the deep end
     
    Skills introduced in level one
    1)  Eggbeater 
    2) Back layout 
    3) Back Tuck summersault 
    4) Standard Scull
    5) Reverse Scull
    6) Side flutter kick
    7) Head up breast stroke 
    8) Log Roll
    9) Beginner Artistic Swimming Routine
    Entering Level Two

    All participants must meet the following requirements: 
    1)  Swim 2 laps freestyle, unassisted and uninterrupted.
    2) Perform 1 lap of Backstroke with proper technique 
    3) Perform 1 lap of Backstroke with proper technique 
    4) Demonstrate an overall proficiency in Artistic Swimming Skills Introduced in Level 1:
           1)  Eggbeater 
           2) Back layout 
           3) Back Tuck summersault 
           4) Standard Scull
           5) Reverse Scull
           6) Side flutter kick
           7) Head up breaststroke 
           8) Log Roll
           9) Beginner Artistic Swimming Routine
     
    Skills introduced in Level 2-
    1)  Torpedo Scull
    2)  Reverse Torpedo Scull
    3)  Canoe Scull
    4) Barrel Scull 
    5) Paddle Scull

    1) Swim IM unassisted and uninterrupted with proper technique
    2) Demonstrate an overall proficiency in artistic swimming skills introduced in level 1 and level 2 .

    Aquamaid/ Aquaman Assessment Day
    Due to increasing demand and limited availability, the Aquamaids have developed a point system to help determine ranking and placement for those interested in pursuing our year-round competitive program. 
     
    The points associated with that criteria will be added up to determine a ranking.  Athletes will be invited into the competitive program in rank order and the remaining athletes will be placed on a wait list.

    Flexibility Tests-5 points each (40 pts)

    -Bridge with legs straight and feet together

    Swimming Tests- 5 points each (10 pts)
     
    – 25-yard Freestyle

    For those with previous artistic swimming experience: 
    Artistic Swimming Skills- 5 points each (20 pts)

    💳Refund Policy 

    NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN in the following situations:

    1. If the participant(s) is determined by SCA expert staff not to be water safe.
    2. If the participant voluntarily withdraws from the program before its completion.

    REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED under the following circumstances:

    1. In the event that we encounter pool access issues and alternative makeup dates cannot be scheduled, resulting in program cancellation.
    2. When an athlete withdraws from a session or camp seven (7) days prior to its scheduled start date. To be eligible for a refund, the withdrawal notification must be sent to SCA via email (info@aquamaids.org) seven (7) days before the first day of the session or camp.
    3. In the case of a Medical Emergency, supported by a valid doctor’s note.
    4. If the session is canceled due to low enrollment, a full refund will be provided.
