Lessons

The Santa Clara Aquamaids offers Yearly Artistic Swimming Lessons and is now offering Artistic Swimming Lessons For The Winter Season

Our year-round Artistic Swimming Lessons present a well-balanced combination of the key components of artistic swimming: flexibility, core strength, basic swimming, and artistic swimming beginner skills.  Our artistic swimming lessons are specifically designed for boys and girls ages 6-10 who are interested in trying, learning, and/or pursuing artistic swimming.  Small class sizes create an opportunity for personalized feedback and a sense of connection with the instructor and classmates. These lessons are offered in continual eight-week sessions throughout the year and meet on Saturdays from 3:45-4:30, 4:30-5:15, and 5:15-6:00.

We are delighted that our artistic swimming lessons are in high demand and we’ve adjusted our level structure accordingly.  We have increased the swimming requirement for each level to give our instructors the opportunity to focus on the instruction of artistic swimming skills. With a higher level of swimming competency, we are now able to increase the number of participants allowed in each class.

Each participant will be evaluated by our instructors and a level recommendation will be made for the following session. We will hold spots open for returning participants up until 9pm on the Monday before the new session. Remaining spots will then be open to the public.

If you are interested in having your child participate in our end-of-summer Aquamaid assessment Day, please read the details of the selection process listed below.
